Calibrated torque tools for sanitary clamps (make and break connections) provide consistent torque on the clamps across all size ranges.  Special care should be taken to ensure the correct torque setting is selected.  This setting s dependent on the type of gasket material used in your process.  Please check with your gasket supplier for their preferred torque setting.  If this information is not available, please refer to our TC connection guidelines document.  Note for users of the James Walker EP75B elastomer:  James Walker has validated a 44 in/lb setting for their ElastoPure gaskets.  Please contact us for further discussion.  Thank you!
